It Takes Courage to Be

This website has been in and out of existence for several years because that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.

Being in and out of existence.

I used to have a voice. I used to share what was on my mind. I used to believe it mattered to Be.

No matter what I did, no matter how well I did it, what struck me was how much I was expected to fail.

Sometimes people choose to believe a version of someone. They are choosing to sum up that person’s very existence. Truth, accuracy, empathy, unconditional love – none of that matters.

Grama Willow has never been graceful like the tree she loves.

But she can macrame. Provides expert guidance on how to make websites and mobile apps accessible to people with disabilities. Cares for two rescued off track racehorses. And at the age of 65 is studying for an advanced certification in her field, where there under 600 such individuals in the world with that achievement.
